Lothian Disability Sport held their first powerchair football session tonight (4th Novemeber 2016).
Six powerchair users turned up to try the sport and showed real enthusiasm, not to mention a natural ability for the game.
The SPFA were represented by Clyde Powerchair FC and Tayside Dynamos PFC who assisted with coaching and loaned equipment to the fledgling team.
Robert Sweeney of Clyde PFC noted, “the guys were really good and could be playing friendly matches this season !”.
The ability and energy was evident but there may be a problem deciding team colours, Hibs green or the maroon of Hearts ? perhaps both ??
Garry Johnstone of the SPFA said, ” I was very impressed by all the guys who turned out tonight, it would be devastating if they did not develop into a club and join the SPFA”
Well done guys, hope to see you all soon, stay in touch and let us know if you need any assistance.
