Matchday 3 of the season saw the start of the Play Offs with the Premiership seeing the first competitive games at 10k with three teams competing for the Championship trophy.
The day started with a word of thanks to our outgoing Chairperson Garry Johnstone who unfortunately had to step down.
The Premiership games opened with a tightly contested 2-0 victory for current champions Tayside Dynamos over South Ayrshire Tigers who started the day at the top of the league. At the same time Lothian Wolves were turning on the style with some great play to earn a comfortable win over Clyde Caledonia.
Clyde Alba and Glasgow Gladiators were up next in the Premiership with Alba coming out 2-0 winners, meanwhile in the Championship, Glasgow Galdiators, Bravehearts were showing some style of their own as they narrowly won by a goal to nil over Lothian Wolves.
Clyde Alba picked up their second win of the day, beating South Ayrshire Tigers 4-1. A win that would see them replace Tigers at the top of the table. Bravehearts meantime proved too strong for Caledonia as they picked up their second win of the day in a bruising encounter.
Tayside finished the day as they started with a 2-0 win, this time over Glasgow Gladiators.
The day also so the introduction of Development Time in the middle of the day, this is hoped to help integrate players from all teams as well as help develop budding player coaches and referees.
So both leagues are warming up for another close battle with Clyde Alba and Lothian Wolves currently leading the way in their respective leagues.Premiership Table M3Championship Table M3
