SPFA Vacancies

We have an exciting opportunity for you to become involved in the fastest growing disability sport in Scotland. Powerchair Football is an exciting version of the game and we have three vacancies we are looking to fill.

We are looking to fill the roles of Secretary on the Executive Committee, Fixtures and Match Secretary to work in partnership with our current F&MS. We are also looking to fill a new role on the SPFA Board for an Independent Board Member, this would suit any suitable individual looking to develop with no attachment to any of our clubs or players.

Formed in 2015 the SPFA work in partnership with the SFA’s Scottish Para Football Association, We currently have six clubs and nine teams and run two national Leagues, Premiership and Championship. These are sponsored by Muscular Dystrophy UK. We have a Scottish Cup, sponsored by US company PowerSoccerShop.com and a League Cup, supported by Dundee Disability. Our national team started playing in December 2018, they are sponsored by Mobility Central Sport. This year will see us host a Tri Nations tournament in May and Home Nations in October, both held at Inverclyde National Sport Centre.

We are a developing nation in Powerchair Football and are looking for support to build on the work we have already done and help take us to the next level.

The closing date for the role of Independent Board Member is Friday 3rd April
