Scotland Development Day

Today at The Peak in Stirling we saw all five Premiership sides represented at our national development day as we look to enhance the Scotland squad for the season ahead.

The day began with Garry Johmstone announcing that he was stepping down from his role as Head Coach. Garry has been instrumental in leading the team from it’s beginning. He worked tirelessly to develop the squad technically, tactically and mentally. He will be sorely missed. We owe Garry a real debt and we hope all goes well with his son Alexander’s surgery.

Craig Peattie, who worked with Garry will take on the role of Head Coach, supported by Steven Miller and Gareth Mitchelson.

We had a great day today. The player’s put in a real shift and took everything on board. They will all receive feedback over the next couple of weeks as we move the squad forward.

We have further training sessions through October and November before we face crack English Premiership side Northern Thunder at the Oriam in Edinburgh on the 14th of December.
