The Scottish Powerchair Football Association held their annual general meeting (AGM) on Sunday 6th June 2021.
The 2020-21 AGM followed the final general committee meeting of the season where the SPFA updated on the key areas of development since the previous general meeting and expressed future goals.
Our chairperson opened the AGM to our associate members and guests on the day, before delivering the chairpersons report for the year.
There is no doubt the past year has brought many challenges as we faced Covid-19 as a community, however the chairperson shared is praise of how the Scottish Powerchair Community has continued to support each other and continued to develop off the field of play. Finally we can see a return to football in the near future and normality as we once knew it, something all of the community cannot wait for.
Following the annual reports the voting stage of the meeting commenced, with the results as follows;
SPFA Executive Committee
Chairperson – Craig Peattie
Vice-chair – Peter McGuire
Treasurer – Gareth Mitchelson
Secretary – Michael Mckenzie
Independent – Jordann Cunningham
This see’s one change to the previous executive committee, with Gareth Mitchelson coming in for Sam Judge.
The Scottish Powerchair Football Association would like to thank Mr Judge for his contribution, commitment and hard work during his spell as treasurer.
