Return to Powerchair Football Update

With confirmation today from the Scottish Government we will enter into Level 2 on Monday 17th May 2021 we would like to update on our return to football.
We have kept a close eye on the guidelines and possible outcomes over recent months. The SPFA has also been in correspondence with the Scottish FA on return to football guidance and we have followed SportScotlands route map.
Please remember we follow the guidelines on Indoor sport.
Level 2:
For Children (u18) contact and non-contact sport and physical activity is permitted indoor.
For Adults (18+) non-contact sport and physical activity is permitted indoor.
Level 1 will see no difference to the restrictions and is expected to come into effect 7th June 2021 (This may change subject to government advice).
Level 0 which is expected (again not confirmed) to come into effect from 28th June 2021. This will allow:
Contact and non-contact for Children and Adults in indoor sport and physical activity.
What does this mean
Clubs will be able to return to training much earlier than anticipated and stick to non-contact training from Level 2 from 17th May.
Contact training may take place from 28th June 2021 – subject to confirmation
Clubs should comply with the facility polices and procedures in which they use at training venues.
Participant numbers are expected to be limited at this stage and again clubs should seek advice from their venue managers.
Venues will ask for track and trace information and should follow a strict one way system and potentially a strict entry and exit procedure for anyone entering the games halls.
We encourage all clubs to begin conversations with their training venues and contact the SPFA for any support needed. COVID officers are in place at each club and we will link in to create the best and safest environments as possible.
The SPFA will also work with clubs on risk assessments if needed, which can be adapted to fit clubs.
